JACK COOPER Is the LARGEST union auto and truck transportation carrier. We deliver vehicles nationwide to dealerships from plants, rail ramps, ports and auctions. Our WORLD-CLASS MAINTENANCE TEAM assures our transport equipment is active and efficient. We care for the life-cycle of our fleet–scheduled refurbishing, cycling out and replacing our older equipment. We have 30 complete maintenance facilities for our 3000 rig fleet.

Assist Maintenance Superintendent in the management of day to day activities of workers engaged in servicing and repair of equipment; perform various administrative duties in support of this function.
Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 2 + years years experience in a vehicle repair facility or similar work environment
• Working experience on maintenance requirements for Diesel Class 8 trucks/trailers (MUST HAVE WORKED UNDER DIESEL HOOD)
• Previous experience managing in a union environment is preferred
• Diesel Mechanic certification(s) preferred
• Working knowledge of industry software
• Excellent customer service and ability to work in a stressful environment
• Working knowledge of basic computer programs to include Microsoft Office
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
• Working knowledge and understanding of DOT/MOT/JWC/OSHA/OSHA Intl./CCOHS regulations, as applicable
• Welding & fabrication experience/knowledge is preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
