Network Server Support Analyst

The position will analyze, develop, test, configure, implement, and maintain a variety of hardware platforms, network server operating systems, backup/recovery systems, storage infrastructure and enterprise services such as e-mail, directory services and enterprise monitoring of these services for the clients of the Department of Information Technology and State of Michigan end-users.
Required Education and
Experience:
Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, or mathematics.
Experience
No specific type or amount is required.
Alternate Education and
Experience:
Possession of an associate's degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, mathematics or equivalent; and two years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or information technology technician may be substituted for the education requirement.
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and three years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or information technology technician may be substituted for the education requirement.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
