The MSP personnel most visible to the public are the uniform troopers whose primary responsibilities include traffic enforcement, crime prevention and investigation, and community engagement and service.
This position is responsible for providing planning, administrative, and management support to two distinct, yet interrelated federal disaster program areas:
Individual Assistance (IA) and Public Assistance (PA).
This position serves as a Disaster Recovery Program Analyst in the Risk Reduction and Recovery Section, Disaster Recovery Unit.
In this role, the employee will assist with programmatic support for the PA program.
The employee will assist the State Public Assistance Officer (SPAO) in the development, implementation, monitoring, and closeout of PA projects and assist the unit supervisor, the SPAO, and other Disaster Recovery Unit staff to work with subrecipients for the successful implementation of the PA program.
This position also provides support in the coordination of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) IA program providing recovery funding to individuals that have experienced property/personal loss due to a disaster event.
Responsibilities include assisting in all aspects of managing grants under the PA and IA programs by, including but not limited to, developing guidance, reviewing applications, managing databases, completing reports, reviewing reimbursement requests, and monitoring projects.
Required Education and Experience Education Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience Departmental Analyst 9 No specific type or amount is required.
Departmental Analyst 10 One year of professional experience.
Departmental Analyst P11 Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.
